Honeywell put three new research and development laboratories into operation in Brno on 12 March 2015. In the coming months the company will invest a quarter of a billion Czech crowns and hire 300 employees. There will eventually be eight new facilities.

Established in 2003, Honeywell’s branch in Brno currently employs 1,500 engineers. The branch’s employees, roughly 70% of whom are graduates of Brno University of Technology, develop technologies for local and global customers in various sectors. These technologies include safe-landing and satellite-based weather communication systems for aircraft, air-traffic control systems, cockpit simulators and remote software for alarm devices and security systems.

The Honeywell group operates in the Czech Republic since 1993. It has two production facilities in the Czech Republic, specifically in Brno and Olomouc, as well as a sales office in Prague. In total, the company employs more than 4,300 people here.

CzechInvest provides regular assistance to the company through its AfterCare department.
