Pure Storage, one of the biggest global companies in the area of data storage, is opening its research and development center in Prague. During its ten years on the market, the company has had a significant influence on the data-storage industry and created intelligent, automated and modern solutions. The opening of the Prague branch is part of the company’s growth strategy in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Pure Storage collaborated with CzechInvest on the opening of the R&D center in Prague. CzechInvest’s access to local experts, partnerships with academic institutions and existing focus on research and development were important support mechanisms in opening the R&D center in the Czech Republic.

Prague reached the final alongside four other cities, namely Munich, Barcelona, Warsaw and Athens. “We chose Prague because great talent can be found here, and it’s a gateway to the rest of the region,” says Dan Decasper, manager of the Prague branch.

Pure Storage has been in operation since 2009. Its data solutions enable SaaS companies, cloud service providers, enterprises, and public-sector organizations to deliver real-time, secure data to power mission-critical production, DevOps ((an approach to software development that emphasises communication, collaboration and integration between developers and IT specialists), and modern analytics in multi-cloud environments.
