Representatives of Czech institutions held two seminars in China at the end of October 2019. During the events, they informed existing and potential investors about how to establish a business in the Czech Republic, find a suitable location and obtain work visas for qualified employees.

The first seminar, which took place in Nanjing on Wednesday, 23 October 2019, was organised by representatives of CzechInvest in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai and the Association for Foreign Investment. The Nanjing Federation of Industry and Commerce, which associates eighty thousand Chinese businesspeople, also participated in organising the event.

The second seminar was held in Beijing two days later, on 25 October 2019. This event was also organised by representatives of CzechInvest together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing. The seminar was attended by seventy Chinese businesspeople including representatives of investors that are already active in the Czech Republic, such as Beijing West Industries, which has created 300 jobs in the automotive industry in Cheb.

The value of Chinese investments that CzechInvest has helped bring to the Czech Republic grew by nearly CZK 3.78 billion last year, bringing the total to CZK 10.46 billion since 2005.
