With the start of the new year, eight Czech start-ups have journeyed to foreign incubators in New York, San Francisco and London. Thanks to their participation in CzechInvest’s CzechAccelerator project, the firms are undertaking three-month residencies packed with mentoring, consulting, workshops, new contacts, potential business partners and know-how from local experts. In addition to the costs of travel and renting offices in the business incubators, CzechAccelerator is also covering 50% to 100% of the costs of services provided by experienced local mentors, professional consulting including protection of intellectual property, and admission to workshops and networking events of the local start-up community.

ROI Hunter, which offers a platform that assists e-shops to promote their products on Facebook with maximum profit and efficiency, has set out for Impact Hub in London.

The Venture Out incubator in New York is the destination of choice for three start-ups, namely Travel a la carte with its application that integrates all service connected with travel, including planning; Motionhouse with its platform for producing personalised advertising videos; and Sharry Europe with its digitalisation system for office buildings.

The four remaining firms will gather experience in San Francisco. RenderWaves offers a software platform for visualisation and simulation of 3D data; AUTOLIFT PRODUCTION manufactures a mobile, easily portable and flexible jack for automobiles; SmartGuide offers a tourism application; and Cross Network Intelligence provides an innovative system for record-keeping and administration of telecommunications networks. Facilities will be provided to them in the local US Market Access Centre incubator.

Since the beginning of 2018, the CzechAccelerator project has sent 27 Czech start-ups abroad to gain experience. The next group of start-ups will travel to the destinations where they want to develop their business in spring of this year.
