ChinaJoy, the biggest Chinese electronic entertainment trade fair, was held in Shanghai from 28 to 31 July 2016. During the event, CzechInvest presented investment opportunities in the Czech game-development sector. Thanks to support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Czech Republic, the companies LIPA Learning and Bohemia Interactive were able to represent the country in China.
This year’s fourteenth edition of ChinaJoy was attended by six hundred firms from thirty countries. In the course of the trade fair, visitors had the possibility to learn about CzechInvest’s offer of services and investment opportunities in the Czech ICT sector. The agency’s representatives met with Chinese potential investors.
In addition to ChinaJoy, Czech firms had the opportunity to meet with twenty Chinese partners during the Czech Gaming and Creativity Evening, an event organised by CzechInvest in cooperation with the MFA, at which trailers of games developed by Czech studios were screened.
