The awards ceremony was held in connection with the Site Selectors Guild Annual Conference 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The annual award is presented by the Site Selectors Guild for successes achieved in the area of economic development. Of the twelve nominees, three winners were selected from regions of the United States. Only one agency, namely CzechInvest, was recognised with an award.
The main aspect judged in the competition was the progress that CzechInvest has made over two decades from implementation of purely production-oriented projects to highly sophisticated high-tech production, R&D and services projects. Other highly rated aspect’s included the agency’s transparency and attractive investment incentives, particularly the incentives system, which can be seen in full on the CzechInvest website.
“I am pleased that Andreas Dressler mentioned CzechInvest in his speech as one of the best agencies in Central Europe, if not the best. He also emphasised that he sees the Czech Republic as one of the most attractive countries in the region,” said Jan Chmelík, commenting on the awards ceremony.
Established in 2010, the Site Selectors Guild is the only global association of leading professionals assisting with the selection of locations that are interesting for investors. The association’s members provide firms around the world with strategic consulting involving the placement of enterprises in various branches of industry.
