German firm in-tech establishing Czech branch

The Germany firm in-tech GmbH is currently starting operations in the Czech Republic. The firm, which is engaged in development and testing of electronic components for the automotive industry, is planning cooperation with local companies such as Škoda Auto and Bosch. The Czech branch, called in-tech Automotive Engineering s.r.o., will employ up to twenty engineers and technicians by the end of 2016 and will continue to grow. The company is investing CZK 15-20 million in the branch in Prague’s Vysočany district.

“The automotive industry has a very strong position in the Czech Republic, and Prague is not far from our headquarters in Munich. Furthermore, the Czech Republic has outstanding infrastructure and reliable legal and tax systems, and it offers a highly skilled workforce,” says Christian Kummer, COO of in-tech Automotive Engineering s.r.o. in Prague.

CzechInvest has been in contact with the firm since June last year, advising it in the areas of Czech wages, properties and the relevant legislation. in-tech plans to hire the branch’s first employees in February, with focus on specialists in the fields of electronics, IT and the automotive industry. A series of trainings will follow. Operation of the Czech office should begin between April and August this year.

The parent company, in-tech GmbH, started in Germany as a start-up founded by students and currently employs 450 highly skilled people in Germany, the United States and China. Its main customers include BMW, Audi, Daimler and Rolls-Royce.
