Information system facilitates utilisation of EU funding
15 May. 2008 | CzechInvest | ISOP a winner in the Microsoft Industry Awards.
The ISOP 7-13 information system, which CzechInvest has used since 1 March 2007 for administration of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation (OPEI), has won first prize in the 2008 Microsoft Industry Awards in the State and Local Administration category. Microsoft presented the awards to its partners for innovative application of Microsoft tools to the greater benefit of the customer. ASD Software implemented the ISOP 7-13 system for CzechInvest. Enterprises that use the system know eAccount, the part of the system that serves for submission of aid applications.
“The extensive agenda of the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation places very high demands on the administration system. The ISOP 7-13 information system is a fundamental tool for fulfilment of our goal, which is to cultivate and support the business environment in the Czech Republic,”says Vít Štěpánek, CzechInvest’s IT director, commenting on the awards.
The ISOP 7-13 system is a key project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade by means of which financial resources will by drawn from European Union funds. The system ensures comprehensive and effective monitoring of OPEI implementation. It also supports the administration of individual programmes throughout their lifecycle, i.e. from the announcement of programmes to their assessment, and individual projects from submission of registration applications through subsequent project monitoring.
A component of the system is the eAccount internet application (http://www.czechinvest.org/eaccount) via which those applying for aid from OPEI send most of the required documents to CzechInvest directly from their office or home. This substantially reduces costs as well as the time required for the administration of projects. The eAccount application has a range of advantages. The system is easy to use and does not require any special software.
