Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe 2017 was held from 4 to 6 April 2017 in the city of Sindelfingen, not far from Stuttgart, the centre of the German automotive industry. The main theme of the event was focused on the direction of development in the area of electric and hybrid vehicles. Topics discussed at the event included progress in the development of advanced battery technologies and the issue of recycling lithium-ion batteries.
The trade fair was attended by more than 200 leading global automotive firms including manufacturers of electric and hybrid vehicles as well as automotive component suppliers. New developments in the area of electromobility were presented by, for example, Bosch, Continental, Daimler and Johnson Controls. Figures representing the field of science and research were also present at the event. Representatives of CzechInvest established contacts for future cooperation with leading German carmakers.
The next edition of the trade fair will take place on 15-17 May 2018 in Hannover.
