Four Czech start-ups – UNIOSO, Retailys, MobileSoft and Mindee app – will attend the Slush Tokyo technology conference on 22-23 February 2019. The firms will exhibit in the Czech pavilion with support from CzechInvest’s CzechDemo project. Prior to the beginning of the conference, the start-ups will take part in an accompanying programme at the Czech embassy in Japan, where they will meet with representatives of business organisations such as JETRO and the EU-Japan Centre and gain valuable information about the Japanese market and start-up ecosystem. Czech firms that are already operating on the Japanese market will share practical advice and experience with the start-ups.

UNIOSO will present software support for handling management, organisational and personnel activities, i.e. a kind of IT solution for company processes. Retailys is focused on multi-channel online sales, by means of which it enables its clients to easily manage a practically unlimited number of internet shops in various languages and currencies.

Mindee is an application for financial advisors that optimises and automates negotiations. It connects advisors with clients via the Mindee portal and digitalises the entire business process. MobileSoft is the developer of AppBlock, an Android application that blocks other applications and their notifications at selected times and location, thus helping users to fully concentrate and to be for efficient. MobileSoft was selected by the organisers of Slush Tokyo for a brief, three-minute presentation (i.e. pitch) on the conference stage, on which 17 other start-ups will also present themselves to the audience.

While attending Slush Tokyo, the Czech start-ups will have an opportunity to meet with the most significant international investors, heads of major firms and representatives of the media. Since 2008, when the conference was first held as an intimate event for 300 participants, Slush Tokyo has grown into an international gathering with thousands of visitors. However, the goal remains the same – to help the next generation of firms succeed in the globalised world. Czech start-ups are attending the conference for the second time with CzechInvest’s support.
