The combination of The Unmanned Systems Expo and RoboBusiness Europe created a unique opportunity for a meeting of the expert public in the field of robotics and autonomous systems. Unofficially called The First International Robotics Week, the event took place from 19 to 21 April 2017 in The Hague and was attended by Czech firms and research organisations involved in robotics, such as ROBOTSYSTEM, DEL, CertiCon, VOP CZ, LTR, Merz, the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics of the Czech Technical University and the Central European Institute of Technology. In the Hague, CzechInvest continued the work it started with its recent robotics mission to Japan.
The trade fair was also attended by the Dutch king’s brother, Prince Constantijn, who took an active interest in the subject of start-ups.
The extensive accompanying programme included a visit to Delft University of Technology, where Czech professor Robert Babuška, a founder of the Institute of Robotics, is on staff.
