Hannover Messe, the world’s biggest industrial trade fair, took place in Germany from 23 to 27 April 2018. For the first time this year, the event was combined with the Messe für Intralogistik CeMAT trade fair. A total of 210,000 people attended the event, including 70,000 from abroad, most of whom came from China, the Netherlands, Poland and the United States. Under the slogan “Integrated Industry – Connect & Collaborate”, nearly six thousand exhibitors strove to persuade potential customers. Mexico was the partner country of this year’s Hannover Messe.

The traditional trade fair was opened by German Chancellor Angela Merkel together with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. The main theme of Hannover Messe this year was robots and their uses – from production and logistics to household conveniences. Construction of electricity girds for electric vehicles, autonomous driving and digital interconnection of industrial facilities were subjects of intense discussion.

The Czech Republic was represented at the trade fair by the agencies CzechInvest and CzechTrade, which shared a stand with the companies Bühler CZ, Ernst Leopold, KDYNIUM, KOVOLIT, MESIT foundry, PROMET GROUP, Slévárny Třinec, Šmeral Brno, TOS-MET Slévárna, UNEX and ZPA Pečky.

The next Hannover Messe will take place from 1 to 5 April 2019. Sweden will be the partner country.
