The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic announced the third public tender on Wednesday, 29 April 2020. The aim of the tender is to support projects in the area of research and development within a programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Projects with a chance of success include those that help to address the current situation or the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Companies can submit applications until 24 June 2020. Funding in the amount of CZK 1 billion is available.
The objective of the programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is to support the competitiveness of the domestic economy and to improve cooperation between companies, research organisations and schools. The purpose of the third public tender is to help address current society-wide issues associated with COVID-19. Companies from Prague, large enterprises, consortia of companies and companies engaged in cooperation with research organisations can also register. A condition of eligibility is that applicants must have at least a two-year accounting history.
Each individual project can receive up to CZK 40 million. At most, aid may comprise 70% of the costs of all project participants. Projects can have a duration of one to five years and their implementation must begin no later than April 2021.
