This year’s edition of the Canadian Aerospace Summit, a gathering of leading global aerospace companies, was held in Ottawa, Canada, in mid-November 2018. The event is regularly attended by foreign delegations from countries with a strong and well-developed aerospace industry. Representatives of Czech companies and institutions attended the event for the first time this year. Together with the Czech Aerospace Research Centre and Moravian Aerospace Cluster, the companies 5M, ATG and LA composite exhibited at the Czech national stand organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, CzechInvest and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa.
While in Canada, global leaders of the aerospace industry presented new trends and plans for the future. The space industry was also an area of interest at the summit, where NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine made an appearance.
Following the summit, representatives of the Czech firms and institutions travelled to Montreal, where they were accompanied by CzechInvest in visiting several Canadian aerospace manufacturers.
