Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company, recently opened its new Global Financial Solutions Centre in for Central and Eastern Europe in Prague’s Smíchov district. The centre will provide financial and accounting services for the company’s branches in nine countries. Pfizer’s new Prague office currently employs thirty people. CzechInvest assisted the company with project preparation, particularly in connection with acquiring visas.
By 2017 the company intends to employ 55 experts with quality technical and languages skills in the area of finance and accounting at the Prague centre. In the first stage of its development, the new division is focusing on Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Greece, which will be joined by Israel, Romania, Serbia and Turkey in the second stage at the beginning of 2018.
