A seminar presenting the Moravia-Silesia region was held on Wednesday, 8 June 2016, at the residence of the Czech ambassador, Libor Sečka, in London. The event was opened by Miroslav Novák, governor of Moravia-Silesia, who gave a detailed presentation of all basic aspects of the region that are important for investors, with emphasis on significant firms, the offer of industrial zones and information on universities and other educational institutions. CzechInvest followed with a presentation focusing particularly on the possible incentives that the Czech Republic offers to investors.
During a panel discussion, representatives of the companies OKIN Business Process Services, PASSERINVEST and TIETO Czech, which are already operating in Moravia-Silesia, spoke about their experience with doing business in the region and on the reason why they decided to invest there.
The event was attended by more than forty representatives of investment and consulting firms, financial institutions and other companies primarily from London. The seminar was organised by the Moravia-Silesia region via its Regional Development Agency. The Czech embassy in London and CzechInvest were partners of the event.
