CzechInvest will send selected start-ups to the United States in September and October. The agency has prepared for the firms tailored acceleration programmes in New York and Silicon Valley, as well as a presentation at the international technology conference TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco. Beginning entrepreneurs who would like to participate in the prepared events can register until 4 June 2019.
The week-long acceleration programmes supported by the CzechMatch project will be carried out from 2 to 6 September 2019 in New York and from 23 to 27 September 2019 in Silicon Valley. Through the local accelerators VentureOut and BootUp Ventures, the participating start-ups will gain extensive valuable advice directly from local experts.
With support from the CzechMatch project, the start-ups will receive free mentoring, meet with the local business community and participate in an accompanying programme with the consulate. The project will partially pay travel costs and for a matchmaking service. “Our long-term goal is expansion to America. Through the CzechMatch programme, we are now receiving feedback and facilities, and we are benefitting from the portfolio of experienced local mentors, who are teaching us how to grasp the local market, which we could never find out for ourselves in the Czech Republic,” says Barbora Malaníková of miomove, which is gaining experience in New York.
Global experts in current and future technologies will come together at the TechCrunch Disrupt international festival in San Francisco from 2 to 4 October 2019. The event brings together not only capacities in the field, but also entrepreneurs, investors and fans. Start-ups that are selected to attend this leading conference with support from CzechInvest’s CzechDemo project will receive free expert mentoring, preparation, entry and airline tickets.
Czech start-ups can register in the CzechDemo and CzechMatch projects until 4 June 2019. Detailed information including registration forms is available at www.podporastartupu.cz.
