CzechInvest has prepared tailored acceleration programmes for selected Czech start-ups in London and Singapore in October and November, as well as presentations at the TechDay London and Web Summit Lisbon international conferences. Beginning entrepreneurs who would like to participate in the events can register until 31 July 2019.

A week packed with advice from foreign experts has been prepared from 28 October to 1 November 2019 in London and from 18 to 22 November 2019 in Singapore in connection with the CzechMatch programme. CzechInvest is preparing the four-day programme for participants with assistance from the local accelerators Startup Manufactory and Expara. “Acceleration projects are an appropriate beginning for start-ups, as they minimise business risks and operate in an environment where they have support from the government as well as from the private sector,” says Douglas Abrams, founder and general manager of Expara IDM Ventures.

With support from the CzechMatch project, start-ups can receive free mentoring, meet with the local business community and take part in an accompanying programme with a Czech consultant. The project pays for the larger part of the start-ups’ travel costs and provides a matchmaking service, within which they meet with local experts and investors and can use partners’ network of contacts.

In connection with the CzechDemo project, interested parties can attend two international conferences. TechDay London, a major event focused on technology, will take place on 25 October 2019. The event brings managers and investors together with significant European start-ups. The other conference, Web Summit Lisbon, which will be held from 4 to 7 November 2019, is a start-up trade fair that will be attended by tens of thousands of people from around the world. Projects that would like to participate in these leading conferences will receive free expert mentoring, preparation, entrance and airline tickets. They will also meet with representatives of successful firms and try presenting themselves to an expert audience.

Czech start-ups have until 31 July 2019 to register in the CzechDemo and CzechMatch projects. Detailed information, including registration forms, is available at www.podporastartupu.cz.
