The US-based company Splunk, a global leader in the area of data security and processing platforms, has launched its operations in the Czech Republic. The company has reported global income in the amount of nearly USD 2.7 billion this year. It plans to collaborate with partners in the Czech Republic’s technology ecosystem on the development of further innovations that will complement and enrich Splunk’s key products. Thanks to the Splunk platform, IT, security and data processing teams can ensure that their organisations are secure, resilient and innovative.
CzechInvest has been collaborating with Splunk on the project in Prague since 2020. Despite the complications associated with the global pandemic, the project has now been successfully brought to completion. “Our objective is to support investors who bring something new to the Czech Republic and want to become a real part of the Czech technology ecosystem. Splunk will become just that thanks not only to its commitment to growth in Prague and job opportunities for worker at all career levels, but also by working with numerous local partners,” said Petr Očko, acting CEO of CzechInvest. “I am also pleased that the Czech Republic is becoming one of the centres of the European data economy at a time when the development of the digital economy is one of the EU’s key priorities. One of the EU’s main steps in this area is the prepared European Data Act, which will also be a priority of the Czech Republic’s presidency of the EU in the second half of this year.”

Thanks to this opportunity, a celebration of the opening of Splunk’s newest centre of excellence took place last week at the residence of the American ambassador with representatives of Splunk, CzechInvest, the Czech Technical University, Czechitas, the local government and other technology companies in attendance. Splunk’s success is also evidenced by the fact that Fortune magazine has included it in its 100 Best Companies to Work For ranking several times. The company is now starting a new journey at the WeWork DRN coworking and office facility on Národní třída in Prague.
