Elmia Subcontractor, one of the biggest northern European trade fairs for manufacturing industry suppliers and their customers, took place in Jönköping, Sweden, from 13 to 16 November 2018. The event was attended by approximately 1,200 exhibitors from thirty countries and 15,000 visitors. Twenty-three Czech firms took part in the trade fair, which was the highest rate of Czech participation in the history of Elmia Subcontractor. Many of those firms had previously attended the event multiple times and most of them exhibited at the stands of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and CzechTrade. The Czech firms attending the event were IMT foundry, SpoluWorks Perfecta, Svaz sléváren ČR, Explat, UNEX, TVARMETAL, TOS – MET Slévárna, HTP, Spojené Slévárny, Beneš a Lát, Klemat CZ, DRUPOL výrobní družstvo, DIOSS NÝŘANY, Dendera, BOKI Industries, PROMET GROUP, MS ProTech, Modelárna Liaz, ZPS – SLÉVÁRNA and Ferram Strojírna. CzechInvest, which was provided space at the CzechTrade stand, held a number of meetings with partners and potential investors at the trade fair.
On Thursday, 15 November 2018, the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a Social Gathering attended by the Czech ambassador to Sweden, Jiří Šitler, and Czech-Swedish mountain climber Renata Chlumská, who was the first Czech and Swedish woman to climb Mount Everest.
Next year’s edition of Elmia Subcontractor will take place from 12 to November 2019 in Jönköping.
