Czech House in Brussels starts operations

The newly opened Czech House in Brussels will facilitate communication between investors and Czech institutions. The seven-storey building will serve as a contact point where those interested in national, regional and foreign policy, the business environment, culture and trade in the Czech Republic can obtain information.

“The primary advantage of the Czech House for our clients – that is, investors – is the concentration of governmental economic institutions in one building. Investors will thus be able to obtain the information they require in the minimum amount of time. For example, the offices CzechTrade are immediately adjacent to our own offices. The same floor houses the Czech commercial representation to EU CEBRE and CzechTourism, the national travel-industry agency. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgium and the so-called House of the Regions, in which eight regional representatives present the Czech Republic, are also housed here,” says Roman Cermak, CEO of CzechInvest.

During the celebratory opening of the Czech House, all entities that are now based at there will present their products and services. CzechInvest will provide information on services and programmes that it offers to both foreign investors and Czech entrepreneurs.

The grand opening of the Czech House is being organised by the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU under the name “Czech Streetfest“ and will include a big party in Caroly street, where the band Čechomor and the singer Iva Frühlingová will perform. A fashion show by the designer Beata Rajska will also be a part of the programme.

The Czech House, and thus the foreign representation of CzechInvest, is located at: 60 Rue du Trone, Brussels - Ixelles 1050, Belgium. Website: www.czechhouse.be.
