She also met with American firms that are already operating in the Czech Republic, as well as companies that are only now considering investing in the country.
“American investors are among the most important in the Czech Republic. While in the United States, Jirotková is meeting with the most significant American investors in the Czech Republic such as GE Aviation, Yankee Candle, Honeywell and AT&T.
Jirotková’s visit to the United States began on 21 October 2018 in Washington, where she had dinner with Hynek Kmoníček, the Czech ambassador to the United States, and Vladimír Bärtl, deputy minister of industry and trade. Their meeting was focused on Czech-American trade relations and local cooperation between CzechInvest and CzechTrade.

It was organised by CzechInvest and the Embassy of Slovakia in Washington with support from the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, the SARIO agency and other partners.
Jirotková’s schedule also included a meeting with Czech start-ups that CzechInvest sent to New York in connection with its CzechAccelerator project.
