CzechInvest and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York hosted the fifth edition of the European Tech Night series in New York on 6 September 2018. The event, which was held at the Bohemian National Hall with 100 people in attendance, was focused on the issue of smart mobility and the changes that it is bringing into everyday life. Four European – start-ups – one from the Czech Republic, two from France and one from Great Britain – exhibited at the event. The Czech Republic was represented by Spaceflow, the most recent participant in the third round of the CzechAccelerator project, which began this week.

Every European Tech Night event is organised by a different country, which presents several European start-ups to the New York audience over the course of the evening. The objective of the European countries that are represented in New York and provide support for start-ups is to raise awareness of those firms and to offer a platform for promotion of European technologies in the city. At the same time, the conference enables local investors, potential clients and other people active in the start-up ecosystem to meet in one place, share their experience and establish contacts.
