How will the world look in ten years? The Future Port Prague festival, which took place 10-11 September 2019 at the Prague Exhibition Grounds, attempted to answer this question. More than one hundred speakers and dozens of exhibitors of technological innovations appeared on five stages over the course of two days. In addition to presentations of companies, representatives of CzechInvest and the ESA BIC Prague business incubator, together with the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, prepared the Future beyond Earth space section focused on space and space technologies.

During the festival, speakers from the ranks of entrepreneurs and the state administration took took turns on the space stage in the Czech Space Dome. “The intention was to show visitors how strong the space sector is in the Czech Republic and the opportunities that it offers, whether land surveying with the use of satellite data or manufacturing of components for European carrier rockets,” says Jana Šmotková of ESA BIC Prague.

In addition to the festival programme, representatives of ESA BIC Prague presented the start-ups World from Space, Dronetag and Neuron Soundware. In cooperation with CzechInvest, the companies eParkomat, El-Stylo, Vímovšem, Overax and Prototypum were also presented. “At the festival, we had the opportunity to show what we do and to establish contact with potential customers. We are managing to gradually build awareness of the brand that we recently established,” says Jan Malina, executive director of Prototypum, commenting on Future Port.
