EMO Hannover, the largest European mechanical-engineering trade fair, which took place from 16 to 21 September 2019, presented trends and technological solutions in the field of industrial production. More than two thousand manufacturers, subcontractors and service providers in the mechanical-engineering industry exhibited innovations in the areas of machine tools, production systems, precision tools and software solutions used in production. More than 117,000 visitors had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with trends of global companies including, for example, DMG Mori, Yamazaki Mazak, Siemens and Kuka.

Together with representatives of CzechInvest and the Association of Engineering Technology, twenty-seven Czech companies took part in the trade fair, where they presented their newest products. The trade fair was focused not only on machines, but also on key technologies enabling the application of new processes in production. “For the first time, the organisers dedicated a separate part of the exposition to additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology using metal and plastic and thus responded to the global trend of digitalisation of manufacturing and new production processes,” says Robert Keil, CzechInvest’s sector manager for mechanical engineering.
