Lufthansa call centre in Brno has new headquarters

Lufthansa presented the brand-new headquarters of its Brno call centre to customers and the broader public. The company left its original space in the Brno- Modrice and moved to the Spielberk Office Centre in Brno. Lufthansa has already invested more than USD 650 thousand in construction of a new customer centre in Brno.

“GlobalTeleSales Brno is the newest of nine Lufthansa call centres. Its operation began in the first half of last year and currently employs nearly seventy people. The planned number of employees should eventually grow to as many as 100,” says Tomas Hruda, CEO of CzechInvest.

The customer centre in Brno ensures services associated with the reservation and sale of airline tickets, and provides consultation in the area of flight regulations for customers and travel agencies. Service is intended for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

“Customers will find our representatives on all continents. This refers to 1,300 employees around the world, who can assist customers in 24 languages. We also plan to enter the Russian market soon,” adds Roman Tesar, Managing Director of GlobalTeleSales s. r. o.


In 2005, Lufthansa transported more than 50 million passengers. The airline offers 187 destinations in 79 countries around the world and 13,000 flights weekly. At this time, Lufthansa has nine call centres (North America – Peterborough in Canada; Europe – Dublin, Kassel, Berlin, Brno, Istanbul; Africa – Cape Town; Asia – Shanghai and Melbourne), which employ over 1,300 people and conduct more than 10 million calls a year.
