The Czech Republic jumps eight places in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking

The Czech Republic has achieved its best result in the World Competitiveness Ranking in the country’s history, as it advanced to 26th place out of 63 economies.

Among the Visegrad Four countries, the Czech Republic fares better than Hungary (39th place), Slovakia (49th) and Poland (50th). This year’s ranking compares the competitiveness of 63 economies. Russia and Ukraine dropped out of the ranking due to the unavailability of reliable data. Bahrain was newly included.

The comparison is based on two-thirds of 333 indicators derived from available statistical data. The last part involves a survey of leading managers in each country. The survey was conducted from February to April 2022. The main competitiveness categories monitored in the rankings are economic performance, efficiency of the government and business environment, and infrastructure.

The complete ranking is available here.
