This year’s edition of Hannover Messe, the world’s most important engineering trade fair, was ceremoniously opened by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo on Monday, 24 April 2017. The central theme of the trade fair is digitalisation of industrial production and power-generation systems (Integrated Industry – Creating Value). The trade fair offers more than 500 areas for application of smart technologies. Visitors can become familiar with the functioning of cobots, i.e. collaborative robots, that work together with humans. Together with artificial intelligence and innovative automation technology, these are one of the key elements for future smart factories.
More than 200,000 people from around the world are expected to attend Hannover Messe, which will run until 28 April 2017. Besides Germany, other countries with significant representation at the event include China, Italy, Turkey and the United States. Poland, which is the trade fair’s partner country for this year, has 200 firms at the event. From the Czech Republic, representatives of CzechInvest and CzechTrade are attending the trade fair, sharing a stand with the companies Bühler CZ s.r.o., KDYNIUM a.s., KOVOLIT, a.s., MESIT foundry, a.s., MOKOV, a.s., PBS VB, a.s., Slévárny Třinec, a.s., Šmeral Brno a.s., UNEX a.s. and ŽĎAS, a.s.
