Together with CzechInvest and other partners, representatives of the Institut français de Prague and the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic visited four French cities from 17 to 20 September 2018 in order to present the Czech emploi project. In Rennes, Lille, Angers and Dijon, the delegation presented opportunities and characteristics of the Czech labour market and life in the Czech Republic in general.

CzechInvest is registering strong interest in workers from France among Czech firms that are encountering a shortage of employees with sufficient language skills, especially companies in the business services sector. Interest has also been sparked among the French public. The September events took place with support from the French labour authority and local government institutions. Most of those who attended the events already have experience with the Czech Republic and brought their curriculum vitae and were interested in particular job offers. The conference in Dijon was also attended by the French ambassador to the Czech Republic, Roland Galharague.

This topic did not escape the attention of the French media. Reports on the interest of French people in working in the Czech Republic were broadcast by TV France 1, TV France 2 and TV France 3, among other stations. Le Parisien and the British daily The Times also reported on the project.
