This year’s second edition of the M&A Report is now available. The current issue, which you can find in the attachment, provides information on trends in the second quarter of 2019 together with analysis of the key factors that could influence M&A activities until the end of this year.
The past year has been characterised by economic decline in the area of mergers and acquisitions. According to forecasts from J.P. Morgan, economic uncertainty will persist and bring forth geopolitical and regulatory restrictions. There is also news in the legislative field, where the European Union, as a supranational body, is taking a coordinated approach to assessing investments through new investment regulations.
The M&A Report also provides information on the CzechLink capital-participation project, which CzechInvest launched in August 2018. The project puts firms that are seeking investors in contact with investors that are considering capital entry into local companies, thus supporting mergers, acquisitions and joint-venture partnerships. The current issue also contains a table of anonymised companies that are currently registered in the CzechLink project.
The M&A Report is published quarterly in electronic form. If you would like to receive it directly, pleas contact us at czechlink@czechinvest.org. You can look forward to the next issue of the M&A Report at the end of 2019.
