The biggest global nanotechnology show, nano tech 2018, took place in Tokyo from 14 to 16 February 2018. More than 600 exhibitors, including Czech firms and research institutes, presented the latest technological trends in the sector to over 45,000 visitors at the Big Sight exhibition centre.

The Czech Republic participated in the trade fair for the seventh time. The official Czech pavilion was provided by CzechInvest under the auspices of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo. The Olomouc Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials and the Central European Institute of Technology in Brno exhibited as part of the national exposition alongside the firms Nafigate, Elmarco, SVCS and Vytek, which represents the Czech nanotechnology companies Crytur, Estcom and VF on the Japanese market. Průša Research exhibited separately at its own stand.

The nano tech trade fair is one of the most important technology forums in the world. For Czech companies, it provides the possibility of comparison with international competition in the sector and a unique opportunity to establish business contacts not only with other technology firms, but also with potential investors in the region.
