The biggest engineering trade fair in Great Britain, Advanced Engineering 2018, took place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from 31 October to 1 November. More than 650 companies exhibited at the event. The Czech Republic was present at the trade fair for the fifth time, exhibiting in its own Czech Pavilion, which was organised by CzechTrade. The Czech exhibitors included the Moravian Aerospace Cluster and ten firms operating in the automotive and aerospace industries, advanced and composite materials and in research and development – 5M, Brebeck Composites, AV R&D, GDP Koral, Radalytica, SpoluWorks Perfecta, Tvarmetal, VAMPIRE SECURITY, B2A and Limid Mohelno. The firms presented top-level high-tech products. For example, Radalytica displayed its globally unique robotic x-ray scanner. CzechInvest also had a stand in the pavilion.
