The Advanced Engineering trade fair, the largest British event focused on advanced engineering and manufacturing, took place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham at the end of October 2019. This year’s edition of the event was focused on the automotive and aerospace industries, composites, medical technology and advanced manufacturing processes, which are traditionally very strong and highly developed areas in Great Britain. The presentation of Czech companies was organised by CzechTrade and CzechInvest with support from the Moravian Aerospace Cluster.

The companies exhibiting at the Czech stand included, for example, 5M, which is developing a broad range of composite and sandwich materials for various sectors. Another Czech company MGM Compro presented electric power units, speed controllers and a complete battery management system for electric motors. The company Advanced Engineering offered its services in the areas of digital optimisation, simulation and analysis of components. Precision engineering was represented by three companies, namely C.S.O., Mevi-cz and Spoluworks. The diversity of the Czech exhibition was ensured by the company Adamapp, which demonstrated the use of virtual reality on a model of the Czech EV-55 commuter aircraft by Evektor. Neuron Soundware’s technology for audio diagnostics of machines, which is intended particularly for predictive maintenance, was also on display.

In the area of advanced engineering, Czech companies are recognised as flexible business partners that deliver products of world-class quality for competitive prices.
