The Global Peace Index issued by the Institute for Economics and Peace ranks countries according to various factors such as levels of crime and violence and external relations, as well as military spending and conflicts.
In this year’s tenth annual edition of the Global Peace Index, the Czech Republic is ranked as the sixth safest country out of the 163 nations evaluated, thus placing among the eleven safest countries in the world led by Iceland and also including Switzerland, Canada and New Zealand, for example. Syria was judged to be the least safe country.
The topic of the Czech Republic’s high level of safety and stability, which investors and others began taking into account in recent years, has also been incorporated into the materials issued by the CzechTourism agency.
