The presence of a number of research organisations and educational capacities (e.g. the University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the UK, the Faculty of Military Medicine of the UO and the University of Hradec Kralove) contributes to the significant position of research, development and production of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and food supplements. This segment is represented by companies such as ARROW International CR, ELLA-CS, GENERI BIOTECH. Technology transfer, contract research and the creation of joint patents, among other things, take place here. The regional city is home to the TECHNOLOGY CENTRE Hradec Králové, which helps in the development of budding entrepreneurs and startup projects. Statutory City of Hradec Kralove

We have been cooperating with the regional office of the CzechInvest agency for a very long time and we consider our cooperation to be very good and beneficial. The city itself can, in relation to entrepreneurs, especially co-create conditions for the development of their business and help the transfer of information from the city hall to entrepreneurs. CzechInvest inspires us and is a good partner for the city in the development of cooperation with entrepreneurs in activities such as the Airport Industrial Zone or meetings between the city management and companies.
