CzechInvest presented the Czech Republic at the prestigious CEE Automotive Conference in Munich on 13 November 2019. The conference, which was focused on the latest trends in the automotive industry in Central and Eastern Europe, was organised by the international law firm Noerr. It was attended by a number of renowned OEM manufacturers and suppliers of the automotive industry, such as Daimler, BMW, Webasto, Harman, Valeo and Siemens.
The greatest degree of attention was focused on the role of research and development in the expansion of electromobility. The participants received information on the current framework conditions for investments in Central and Eastern Europe. A discussion on electromobility and digitalisation was also held with the participation of representatives of major consulting firms such as McKinsey, TMG and Atreus.
CzechInvest representative Barbora Račan Ježková presented trends in Czech research and development at the conference. At the conclusion of her presentation, she detailed the current possibilities of drawing state aid for investments in the Czech Republic.
